When travelling to a new country, many people will find enjoyment in going to the local supermarkets, as they often offer foods and products that might not be available where you live.
While you might find anything from local cuisines to new food products from your favourite brands that have yet to be released in the UK, or get shocked by the big difference in pricescompared to where you usually shop, it can be an exciting experience to explore a new supermarket.
So when one American found himself in an Aldi during a visit to the UK, they couldn't help but to document the different and 'weird' products that he'd never seen before. However, the one thing that shocked him the most were the fresh noodles.

"I'm visiting England right now, and they sell noodles that are ready to eat in bags in the supermarket. NOODLES that have been pre-boiled!" they wrote on a Facebook post for the Dull Fan's Club page.
"They also never refrigerate their eggs, have pancakes already made in bags next to the bread and a bunch of other things... But NOODLES that have already been boiled? I might exceptionally dull, because this blew my mind," they added.
In the United States, eggs are refrigerated to minimise the risk of Salmonella contamination, as they are washed and dried during processing, which removes a protective outer layer (the cuticle) that helps prevent bacteria from entering, Healthline reports.
This is not needed in the UK and most parts of Europe as it's illegal to sell pre-washed eggs here. However, it's still recommended to keep the eggs in the fridge as it helps keep the eggs fresh for longer, according to Egg Info.
Along with the Facebook post, they added a photo of what they referred to. Standing by the fresh stir fry section, the Facebook user had spotted the bags of fresh egg noodles.
Despite what the Facebook user said, had not been pre-boiled but instead packaged while they were still fresh and not dried, like other types of noodles usually are.
Many people took to the comments to correct him about this, whereas others just shared their shock that someone had found fresh noodles 'weird'.
"An American being completely baffled by fresh noodles is so on brand lmao. You think noodles are made hard? Jesus christ," one user wrote.
A second person wrote: "Imagine being shocked by fresh noodles but not cheese in a can." Meanwhile, a third user said: "They’re not pre-boiled! They are fresh made egg noodles ready to stir fry - Jesus!"
"Wait until you find out what biscuits really are. Game-changer my friend," another person said, referring to the fact that 'American biscuits' often refers to a baked treat similar to a scone that they often with gravy.
Meanwhile, another user were more concerned with the idea of refrigerating eggs, as they said: "Why on Earth would anyone refrigerate eggs?"
